The fem presents itself at the career fair of the Hans-Baldung-Gymnasium in Schwäbisch Gmünd

Frank König and Alicia Jung presented the fem in all its facets to many interested pupils from the upper school of the Hans-Baldung-Gymnasium. With exhibits, roll-ups and an image film, they conveyed the diverse topics, fields of work and career opportunities in a modern research institute to the young scientists of tomorrow.

Alicia Jung, a chemist in the analytics department, used a small pig to demonstrate the galvanic layer structure and the various possibilities for characterising such layers. Frank König, materials scientist in the metallurgy department, gave an insight into the world of additive manufacturing and the production of novel composite materials.
