NEW PROJECT

Optimised galvanisation thanks to camera-based simulation models

In this project, the electroplating company Jentner and the fem are taking a completely new approach: using camera-based simulation models, it should be possible to achieve significantly better results in electroplating, reduce rejects and substantially save material and energy. The increased precision of the electroplating process also opens up markets that were not accessible with the previous approach.

PROJECT RESULT

Tool-free production of 3D plastic components by generative process

In the project, metallic conductor path structures were successfully created on additively manufactured 2D and 3D components. The favoured approach can be easily implemented with commercially available materials, and the integration of the method into existing production processes is straightforward. In addition, the concept is substrate-independent and can therefore also be transferred to other materials.
