Detection systems with electrochemically active surfaces.

The aim of the project is the development of simply constructed and inexpensively producible breakthrough detectors with electrochemically active surfaces for the AMC contaminants ammonia and formaldehyde. According to the principle of gas-solid interaction, signal generation is to be detected. For this purpose, nanoparticles are to be nanoparticles are to be deposited on 3D carrier materials with reactive surfaces by means of galvanic deposition.

Contact and long-term
behaviour of self-lubricating coatings
in current-carrying connections.

The results of the project show that all the particle types investigated can be incorporated into silver coatings when coating model geometries. The systems silver-graphite, silver-MoS2 and silver-WS2 stand out due to their good tribological properties. Values for the average coefficients of friction around 0.2 are achieved, which are stable even after a thermal ageing of 2000h at 180°C.
