The aim of copper research is to develop new materials with outstanding electrical and mechanical properties, faster development processes and the digitalization of the life cycle.
KupferDigital2: Material data space to increase the efficiency and sustainability of the copper life cycle
In this project, a process chain of industrial connector production is being digitalized with semantic data, thus laying the foundation for a more efficient and, above all, more sustainable production of the future. In its sub-project, the fem is taking on the deputy coordination of the project and is developing the integration of ecological and socio-economic footprints into the data ecosystem.
We are looking for strong partners for our R&D projects
The transfer of knowledge from research to industrial practice is all the more successful the earlier we cooperate with SMEs and partners from industry. That's why we are constantly looking for companies from all relevant industries who would like to actively participate in the committees of our R&D projects. Our contact persons look forward to your interest!
Standardized long-term tests on copper materials to determine material parameters
By describing the material behavior more precisely, SMEs can design components better, more cost-efficiently and more resource-efficiently than was previously possible. The results of the project can be transferred to other materials where long-term behavior is also relevant.
