The most important insight for the fem Forschungsinstitut at the Taiwan Expo Europe in Berlin: New products and designs require innovative materials, coating systems and processes – our core expertise for over 100 years. Numerous companies from Taiwan presented their product portfolios in the fields of mobility, medicaltechnology and AI.

At the Taiwan-EU Semiconductor Forum, it was emphasised that one of the major and important topics for the future is new coating processes for the chip industry. “With our latest innovations and activities in the field of thin-film technology, such as the inverted fireball and 2D materials, we are confident that we can make an important contribution to future developments,” said Prof. Dr. Holger Kaßner, director of the fem.
