Dear partners, customers and friends of fem,

An eventful year is drawing to a close! Our three highlights in 2023 were the dynamic start of our new Institute Director Prof. Dr. Holger Kaßner, who is driving forward the strategic development of the fem with a lot of energy and new ideas, the founding of our Digitalization and AI department, which is all about materials informatics, and of course the grand opening of our innovation laboratory with an additional 4500 m² of space for research, development and technology transfer in important future fields.

On December 22, 2023, we will go on our Christmas and winter break and will be back for you on January 8, 2024. We look forward to many new tasks and projects and wish you and your families a Merry Christmas 🎄and a Happy New Year 🍾.
