BELCHEM 2024: A Resounding Success!

BELCHEM 2024 has concluded, and the excitement is still palpable! Organized by Vessela Tsakova and Bogdan Ranguelov from the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Academy of Sciences, this conference brought together researchers from academia, industry, and various institutions from Bulgaria and around the globe.

The highlight of the was the topic presented by Mila Manolova, who captivated the audience with her innovative research on electrodes through electrodeposition for green energy technologies. Her presentation compellingly demonstrated how we can efficiently utilize renewable energies—from hydrogen production and the conversion of CO₂ into valuable chemicals to the storage of excess energy in batteries. Particularly noteworthy was Mila’s focus on cost-effective, eco-friendly electrolyzers and the role of redox-flow batteries for sustainable energy storage.

BELCHEM 2024 once again proved that the future of energy is intertwined with innovation and progress. Participants had the opportunity to explore scientific trends and engage in a dynamic exchange that set important directions for the years to come.

We look forward to the next event! 🚀💚
